Frequently Asked Questions

Who Can Join These Classes?
Our programs are designed for children and teens with low-to-moderate support needs and neurotypical kids who thrive in a structured, encouraging group environment. Participants should be verbal, able to follow directions, and able to engage safely with coaches and peers during fitness activities.
How Do You Support Different Needs in One Class?
We use individualized modifications, visual supports, predictable routines, and coach-guided scaffolding so every child can participate at their level. Exercises are designed to be accessible, broken down into clear, easy-to-understand steps that support diverse learning styles and processing needs.
Do my kids have to be athletic to attend?
Not at all. We work with both athletic and non-athletic children, including kids who are brand-new to sports. They don’t need to know any skills before joining. We teach everything step by step, including how to run with proper form, jump safely, move confidently, and learn the basics of every sport. Our coaches break movements into clear, manageable parts so every child can learn at their own pace and feel successful.
What Is the Coach-to-Participant Ratio?
We keep classes small to ensure safety, individualized support, and meaningful interaction. Our maximum class size is 10 kids per session.
What if my child becomes dysregulated during the session?
If a child becomes dysregulated, our coaches use calm, supportive strategies to help them reset, such as movement breaks, sensory tools, visual cues, or stepping aside for a brief check-in. Our goal is to help them regulate safely and return to the group when they’re ready. We partner with parents on patterns, triggers, and strategies so every child feels supported and successful.
What Regional Centers Do You Work With?
We currently partner with Self-Determination Program (SDP), ACE FMS, and Miji Care / Libertana.
